Classic is the original Royaledle mode: you guess the Clash Royale card of the day, and every guess is compared against the hidden card across seven attributes at once. Nothing about the card’s appearance is revealed — you close in on it purely by reading the stat comparison, which is why Classic is the only mode fair enough to rank on a leaderboard.
Each guess fills a row of seven columns — Elixir, Rarity, Type, Target, Speed, Arena and Year. Green means that attribute matches exactly. Grey means it does not. Yellow means you are close but not there: on Elixir and Year that is a difference of exactly one, on Arena a difference of one or two, and on Target it means your card and the answer share part of what they can hit — guessing a Ground-only card when the answer hits Air & Ground turns Target yellow. The three number columns also show an arrow: up means the real card is higher than your guess, down means lower.
Open with a mid-cost Troop rather than a favourite: a 4 or 5 elixir Rare troop touches the middle of most scales at once and gives you arrows to work with in both directions. The column players misread most often is Target — yellow there does not mean "nearly the right card", it only means the two cards overlap on what they can hit, which still leaves a wide field. Also remember that a grey Rarity eliminates a whole tier at once, so it is often worth more than a yellow number.
You are one step away on a number (or two on Arena), or your card partly overlaps the answer on Target. It never means the card itself is nearly right.
Unlimited. Your result simply records how many it took, which is what the leaderboard compares.
No. The answer lives on the server and is only sent to your browser once you guess it correctly — that is what keeps the Classic leaderboard honest.
No. Unlimited is played locally on random cards and never touches your streak, your stats or the leaderboard.
